|Warid introduces Safe Arrival SMS Service for its Roaming subscribers
Lahore, June 4, 2008: Warid Telecom becomes first operator in Pakistan to introduce Safe Arrival SMS service for its Postpaid subscribers. The Safe Arrival SMS service is an innovative service that allows travelling subscribers with international roaming or SMS roaming activated to send a pre-set short text message that conveys confirmation of a safe arrival. This service is available in countries were Warid has bilateral roaming partners.
Warid Telecom provides one of the largest and continuously growing International Roaming (IR) network for its users. The IR network consists of roaming partnerships in over 131 countries with 201 global operators. Subscribers travelling to these countries can benefit from the Safe Arrival SMS service.
Users can opt for Safe arrival SMS to be sent on any three on-net or off-net mobile numbers within Pakistan. Upon arrival at the destination and successful selection of roaming partner’s network, Warid Telecom’s automated system sends a safe arrival SMS to mobile numbers the customer has provided. This service also has the provision to allow customers a choice for the countries they would like to skip the Safe Arrival SMS service. So no hassle for customers for sending SMS to their loved ones every time they land in any country, Warid Telecom does it automatically.
